I’m very excited to announce three workshops over Feb & March.

All workshops are weekend long: Saturday morning to Sunday evening. 

With stay overs at each lovely location.

The first workshop will take place this month at the beautiful Wildekrans Country House where we will take a long morning walk, collect items and concentrate on outdoor sketching in dry mediums.

You have been asking for ages and I am finally offering an outdoor floral based workshop in March at the gorgeous @lastwordhotels in Constantia. This is an oil painting workshop over the weekend.

The last workshop will be in March and it will concentrate on painting portraits and scene from a live model in the garden also at @lastwordhotels in Constantia. I’m very excited about this!

Workshops are a wonderful way to re-energise your practice, meet like-minded folk or continue learning. Taking them with a friend or family member can be such fun or taking them along is a dedication to yourself especially if you can’t dedicate time to a regular practice. For students of high school or college the workshops can be a helpful supplement for missed practical hours of art-related subjects due to online teaching. Either way, workshops win! Most of what I know about painting “en plein air” I learnt from workshops with @daniela_astone and @benfenskeart. The one month workshop I took at @grandcentralatelier changed the trajectory of my life and helped me realise I wanted to train in the classical method at @florenceacademyofart

We have worked really hard to keep costs as manageable as possible and the locations are all beautiful!

All the workshops will be based outdoors in the gardens and fresh air of nature to allow for a safe and enjoyable experience 🍃 😷
